Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Maple Financial Wellness website and any services provided by Maple Financial Wellness Inc. in Canada, including coaching, workshops, workplace programs, and digital tools. By using our website or engaging our services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or procure services. We recommend reviewing these terms before booking a consultation or purchasing services so you understand payment, cancellation, confidentiality, and liability provisions. Contact our office if you have questions about how these terms apply to a specific engagement.
Services and Engagement
When you engage Maple Financial Wellness for coaching, workshops, or workplace services, we will provide a written engagement outlining scope, fees, deliverables, and timelines. Services are provided in accordance with professional standards and applicable Canadian regulations. Clients are expected to provide accurate information necessary for effective advice and to follow agreed appointment schedules. Coaching is educational and supportive in nature; it is not a substitute for legal, tax, or medical advice. Where specialized legal or tax advice is required, we will recommend that you consult with a licensed professional in the relevant field. For workplace engagements we work with authorized representatives and supply aggregated reporting as agreed in the engagement contract.
Fees, Payment, and Cancellation
Fees for services will be communicated prior to engagement and are due as outlined in the engagement agreement. We accept electronic payments and invoicing; payments are processed through secure payment providers. Refunds and cancellations follow the terms set in each engagement: generally, individual coaching sessions require 48 hours' notice for cancellation to avoid a cancellation fee, while workshop and workplace contracts will specify timelines and penalties. For recurring coaching packages, missed sessions may be rescheduled within the contract period subject to availability. Failure to pay fees when due may result in suspension of services until payment is current. Any disputes about invoices should be raised promptly using the contact details provided in this document.
Confidentiality and Records
We maintain confidentiality for client information consistent with legal obligations and professional best practices. Personal data collected during engagements is stored securely and accessed only by authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. Records of coaching sessions and related materials may be retained to support service continuity and compliance; retention periods are described in our Privacy Policy. Clients may request access to their records or corrections where appropriate. In rare circumstances where disclosure is required by law or to prevent imminent harm, we may disclose information to appropriate authorities; we will aim to notify clients when disclosure is required unless prohibited by law.
Limitation of Liability and Governing Law
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maple Financial Wellness and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the provision of services or use of the website. Our liability for direct damages is capped at the amount paid for the applicable services in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct where such limitation is unenforceable. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve concerns informally and quickly. Please contact our office to discuss issues. If an informal resolution is not possible, parties may pursue mediation before initiating court proceedings. Costs and timelines for formal disputes will be addressed on a case-by-case basis consistent with governing law.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes to terms that affect existing engagements will be communicated directly to affected clients. Continued use of the website or services after revisions indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
